Ashtray Clouds

The Bubble Ashtray is designed to make ceramic feel light and almost inflated, with soft curves and a voluminous form that sits comfortably on any surface.

Hand illustrated with a delicate repeat pattern of blue clouds and 22k gold lustre raindrops, the surface design is drawn from Anna's background in embroidery and textile design. Slip cast in high-fire clay, painted by hand, and fired up to three times in a small kiln in Halifax, Nova Scotia. Glazed inside and out for easy cleaning.

Works as an ashtray, jewelry dish, or resting place for an incense stick. Both the Some Hitter and Twinkie pipes fit snugly in the notch.

Slip cast and finished by hand in a sunny studio on Agricola Street, Halifax.
